The List :: October 29 :: Precarity on Campus

The list is a monthly social space for progressive faculty at the University of Toronto, and friends. The name is derived from the email list that brought faculty together during the 2015 CUPE strike to speak out for a more equitable and accessible university. We look forward to continuing the conversation.

The first event of the list was fantastic! More than 130 people gathered for some good conversation and great music. The next event of the list is OCTOBER 29 addressing the theme of PRECARITY ON CAMPUS.

The night will be facilitated by Melanie Newton (History; Director of Caribbean Studies @ U of T). We will enjoy a special intimate presentation ‘Ayotzinapa. The planted seeds’ by internationally celebrated Mexican artist Marcos Ramirez ERRE marcosramirezerre.com. We are also fortunate to have Nik Redman (Steelworkers) and Erin Black (CUPE, Unit 3) reflecting on these issues as they are lived on our campus.
